You can expand the C: drive using Disk Management or DiskPart. &nbsp;You just have to have unpartitioned space immediately following C: (in other words, you can't have a C: partition, D: partition, and empty space- it needs to be C: partition, empty space, D: partition (though it's unwise to create partitions on VMs - just add virtual disks.

I have a Windows 2012r2 database server that has the database installed on the C drive. I just realized we are almost out of space. Is it possible to expand the C drive even though the OS is also installed on it? I went to VSphere client and edited the provision size from 40GB to 100GB, but I know I need to do something on the windows side in disk management. Is there a way to expand?
