NTFRS problem between primary Windows 2012 DC and secondary Windows 2012 DC

Greetings-

After upgrading firmware on our SANS.  The primary WinDC1 shows two folders (DO_NOT_REMOVE_NtFrs_PreInstall_Directory and NtFrs_PreExisting___See_EventLog).  Both of these folders (located here:  C:\Windows\SYSVOL\sysvol\domain.com) have the time stamp of the upgrade that took place.  The primary WinDC1 is a VM and was shut down during the upgrade.  However, the WinDC2 was online at the time.  I can see the WinDC2 sysvol\domain.com folder with the polices and scripts folders with an older time stamp.  I would like to use the policies and scripts folder from the WinDC1 listed in the NtFrs_PreExisting___See_EventLog and replicate those changes to WinDC2.

What steps should I use?  I was thinking to use these steps- https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22744760/NtFrs-PreExisting-See-EventLog.html but I want to make sure that WinDC1 (PDC role) is the primary replicator for NTFRS.

Thank you for your help.

Hi DLeaver- Thank you for your assistance with the FRS.  The link that I had found helped as well.  The sysvol folder is back to the WinDC1 and replicating properly.
