Snapshots in HyperV
Hi Experts
I cannot seem to get my head around HyperV Snap Shots.
Here is a very basic scenario,
I have a VM - VM1, current state CS1
I have 12 windows updates to install
I take a snapshot of CS1
Then I install the windows Updates
VM1 is now in new state NS1
NS1 has problems and does not boot
I know I have only two actions Apply or Delete
I want to go to CS1
What do I do?
ps: I know this is very basic, but my tests are not confirming what I watched on youtube. and I want help from Experts in here

Thank you David and Cliff...helped me decide never to snapshots again in production unless absolutely neccessary and only to depend on backups

Dear Experts...thank you for your expert advise. I will not be using snapshots in prod. My backup failed as Altaro could not find the VM i was using to test. It appears after the merge i needed to rebuild my backup

I want to test snapshots...
