Thanks Justin, sorry for the delayed response I missed the EE E-Mail saying there was a reply.<br />
Your solution would work however would not keep the groups in sync when others change them on the exchange server. Even so it seems there just isn't a way to sync groups.<br />

To solve my issue I have just setup an RDP App for outlook on a windows server. To the user it just looks like they have windows Outlook 2016 on their Mac.<br />
The user will move over to a windows work laptop soon so there won't be any issues in the future. <br />
Quite a frustrating incompatibility.
