"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

possible issues may occur if you use new features/additions/functionalities from the 2015 version but core features must be same.

On this link link you can find more information about your issue..

What kind of app? Windows forms should survive but anything might suffer.

Also be sure to have 2 solutions: 1 for VS2010 and 1 for VS2015.

That should work. Just be sure to target .Net Framework 4.0.

Bear in mind your client might not be able to open the project source in VS 2010 if you develop it in VS2015 and supply the source code to the client.
Microsoft has a tendency to change the project/solution files between each version of VS.
