I have worked with Interbase and Firebird wherein the database is clearly in a specific folder.
I am now building an ISAPI  application and want to prepare a MySQL database and copy it in the ISAPI Virtual folder.
I do not know what to copy. My table is a simple one having Code , Name.
Also how to know the connection string ?

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

That doesn't make a lot of sense.  Do you have MySQL installed somewhere?  Do you know how to set up users and databases on MySQL?  What language are you using on the web server?  (PHP, ASP, ASP.NET?)
nociSoftware EngineerCommented:
Mysql has ONE directory were all databases are stored. MySQL is not an application based database but a client/server database. Where the server part handles the database and the client part (ie. your application) asks it all kind of questions.

So storing the database makes no sense there. (The MySQL server part may be on your own server, but it may be a separate cluster of servers, your applications won't know the difference, except for the IP address where to send the queries.)

If you want you database WITHIN the Web tree you may need another database system called SQLite.
