Offline USB Build using USB Keys

Team, just wanting your comments, thoughts around the following
The client I support, we deliver workstation builds via SCCM 2012, we have a build server located at our main office, however we don't have any distribution points at our client other offices, our client specifically doesn't want server at the remote offices, so a server'less site if that makes sense,
We have now been tasked to deliver the workstation build to machines at these offices using USB's keys, as the return faulty workstation to base process is too time consuming....
Creating the offline media via SCCM is relatively painless, however the client wants the USB keys to be encrypted, due to their stringent security requirements,
What is possible in this space, can we deliver an OFFLINE USB Windows 7 image on encrypted USB media to a workstation,
Some is of the opinion that physical USB keys with hardware encryption on them can work (IE: Iron Keys) etc; and some mentioned it wont work? Can you please provide me with some guidance as to what's possible in this space.

Apologies both, been away for the Easter Break, picking this up again,
I do thank you both for the time taken to respond to my question, your input aligns with what I was thinking, but just thought I'd ask the experts in case their is something I missed.
thank you both for your response, apologies for taking so long to respond.
