Free Log Insight for vCenter

Hi people,

I'd like to ask some clarification for Free Log Insight for vCenter before implementing it in my Vmware environment.

My environment:
2x Vcenter Server Standard 5.1 Update 1 - Windows Server 2008 R2
1x Vcenter Server Essential 5.1 Update 1 - Windows Server 2012 R2

16x ESXi 5.1U3b hosts running on HP Blade Bl 465c G7/8
200 VMs
15 other Physical machine

I read that the Log Insight for vCenter is now available for free only to the first 25 server.

Question:

1. Can I download and use it with my VCenter 5.1 ?
2. Assuming there is additional Agent to be installed on the VM or physical machine to effectively monitor, does it require a reboot ?
3. Can I install it on my physical host running on Windows Server 2008 - 2012 R2 ?
4. Does 25 OSI pack means 25 IP address maximum to be monitored ?

Thanks in advance.

Many thanks Andrew for the reply,

So what is the purpose of "VMware vRealize Log Insight 3.3.1 for vCenter Server - PAK file" ?
Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert PRO / EE Fellow/British Beekeeper)

A PAK file is an upgrade file to upgrade an earlier version of VMware vRealize Log Insight 3.0 to 3.3.1.

Hi Andrew, is it any good to run the Log Insight agent to monitor my Windows physical server as well ?
Andrew Hancock (VMware vExpert PRO / EE Fellow/British Beekeeper)

Yes, it's very good, and if you use the additional Windows Content packs, will also filter the data.
