How to remove non-production Exchange 2013 server from Exchange 2007 organization
I have installed an Exchange 2013 server onto a Windows 2008 R2 server. I am planning to migrate from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013, but have not put the Exchange 2013 server into 'production' as yet.
I have since decided to wipe out the OS on this new server and use Windows 2012 Hyperr-V instead of Windows 2008 R2 so I can better utilize its resources. Then, I'd like to reinstall Exchange 2013 onto one of the VMs on the Hyper-V serrver. However, I am concerned about what impact the initial uninstallation of Exchange 2013 will have on the Exchange 2007 organization.
Will uninstalling Exchange 2013 create problems for the existing Exchange environment?
Will I have any trouble installing Exchange 2013 on the VM after uninstalling it from its current server?
Is there any danger in simply uninstalling Exchange 2013 and removing the server from the domain before reinstalling the Windows server operating system?
