opt-in form for a WP and Drupal site, if possible free

Hi

Ive got 2 sites: a WP site and another drupal site I want to add an opt-in form to build an email list, but I need a couple of things:

1/ first of all I only need to ask for their email but I need to know in which page (URL) they entered their email because I plan to insert the opt-in in hundreds of pages so I need to know an email came from which page exactly

2/ I need to have the option to choose in which way the opt-in form is displayed, Id like to choose between a typical pop-up or a form in the sidebar or in the middle of the post at a specific point, or the form appearing in the sides, I need to have a wide array of options for the placement and behaviour of this form

Ive seen things like Thrive Leads, I like that a lot, but right now it escapes my budget, could I get something in the same vein but free or cheaper?

Ive tried Optin Forms but I can't seem to find the way to customize its behaviour and placement on the post, other than after a few paragraphs or at the end of the post, but no side or pop up options. Also I dont know if theres an option to see from which URL came every email address

As for the drupal site Ive got no idea if drupal uses a similar plugin system than WP, and what kind of opt-in is recommended for a drupal site

thanks in advance for any help

Drupal also uses plugins. You shouldn't need to know which page the user is on if they subscribe to your newsletter. In fact, you should allow them to see all of the newsletters and to pick and choose.. you should also enable RSS feeds if they don't want it in their inbox. Having a common subscription page also allows the user to selectively un-subscribe to areas that don't fit their interest.

David I should explain better why I need to get which URL each emal addres comes from

I've got a health and medicine webportal with hundreds of doctors and different specialties. I need to section my email list into doctors and specialties, like dermatologist, urologist, neurologist, and alikes, and from exactly which article each email came from so I can devise a customized strategy for every emal list.

It'd do me no good to send a newsletter about medical solutions for impotence to people who have acne or dermatitis. And I want to be really specific about the sections of my email list, I mean not just urology, but impotence, vasectomy, sexual diseases, and so forth

that kind of fragmentation requires to acquire every email with its matching URL,

this is something Ive been doing with my html without trouble for many years but I dont know how to do it with WP in a way that doesnt delay too much the loading of my pages and site, and also feels more modern than my previous HTML syystem
allow them to subscribe based upon tags. or allow them to set their search criteria. Doing it page by page is simply not efficient.
but I want them to only have to enter their email, so I get a better suscription rate, dont want them entering tags, and searching, people are very lazy

this was quite easy with plain old html, Im sure it must be possible to replicate and even improve upon on WP

not so sure about drupal, but solving this in WP is my priority right now
