=IF(Pivots!E233>0, "Up "&Pivots!E233,"Down "&Pivots!E233)

Here is formula returning the result Up 2109.454654

I need the formula to return Up $2,109

Wrap the formula inside text function

=TEXT(your formula , the format )

Here is the solution  try this =TEXT(IF(Pivots!E233>0, "Up "&Pivots!E233,"Down "&Pivots!E233),"$#,##0")

Weirdly that is returning the pound sign!!
