Finding a telephone system in UK which has an RS232 port

Hi -

I am assisting in setting up the IT for a small law firm in the of south of UK. Their mother company based in Cyprus has requirements specific to lawyers , whereby they punch in 5 or 6 digit code before making the call, this code is linked to a specific case they are working on. Using the SMDR data from the telephone system they can extract the code and the associated time spent on the call so that the accounts dpt can bill the appropriate time for that case number.
They currently use an LG system in Cyprus but they don't want that in the UK. So i am trying to find a system that has an RS232 port on it , from which the raw SMDR data can be extracted, a LAN port is not an option as the software they use wont run of it.  I have tried Avaya, NEC so far but they cant do it. I have tried many suppliers but not much positive feedback. Can anyone suggest a good UK based comms vendor who could provide a solution?

Many thanks

If you are looking at upgrading the phone system why not the old logging software too.
Mitel I would recommend and then get Eclipse monitoring tool.
you configure the phones and you configure account codes.
user types in a code it then opens the lines to whatever you have allowed it to.
when you run a log you running it against the account code and presto all done.
speak to BT in the South of England they seem to be working very closely at the minute, got some good deals off of them.
is it possible that the rs232 is one end and rj11 or rj45 at the other? if you need to stick with the old.

Hi Stolsie - For now , output to a LAN port is not an option , it needs to be rs232 . I would explore your suggestion above but i need to exhaust all options with the original setup first. A change in software in UK would mean doing the same for the Cypriot base which is much larger and a greater undertaking.
Apart from BT, do you use any other comms companies?

Also, you may look at this another way, take a look at a Lavalink ESL, http://lavalink.com/products/ether-serial-device-servers/esl-1-port-rs-232-db9/, it can take in the lan connection and convert it to serial.
