Event ID 55 Windows 2008 Standard

Getting that error on my server. Had a bunch of them from two weeks ago (3-15 and 16) and then nothing for 10 days. And only one at that. One is enough in my book. Research tells me this error is false and not to worry. Has something to do with VSS.
We are a 24 hour operation so rebooting isnt in the cards to run a chkdsk. Reading this article may be the solution.

https://www.microsoft.com/technet/support/ee/transform.aspx?ProdName=Windows%20Operating%20System&ProdVer=5.2&EvtID=55&EvtSrc=ntfs&LCID=1033

Looking at the rest, it was a month between errors. Have to go back to 2-24. Most 99% of the errors do occur when back ups are running.
Thanks in advance.

If your 24 hour operation doesn't have time to address the problem now... what is your plan if there is a failure?

Are you seeing a specific ShadowCopy# for the EventID: 55?
Use "vssadmin list shadows" from a cmd prompt

If your data is backed up... use vssadmin delete shadows /shadow={guid}

Also, curious what type of data is on this server... production db? exchange?
There are EventID: 55 issues with default allocation block size in certain environments.

Totally agree about the failure part. Im new here <3 months. No Exchange. Has MySQL, Visual Cron, Apache Tom Cat. I have been using Windows Backup and going by my records this server backed up successfully on the 15 and 16th. I always use VSS Full and run the backups manually. If any of that matters.
Ran the vssadmin list and there is 40-50? Contents of Shadow listed. Yes my data is backed up. The only thing different is these errors have a (2) Task Category in event viewer. Never noticed that in event viewer before. Usually says none.
What effect does deleting the shadows have? And what is the guid? The individual copies? Do I need to delete individually? TIA

No, the errors dont point to anything. I have 4 drives, C-D-E and H all with shadow c enabled. I deleted everything from Mar 15 back and reduced the size. If I still get the error maybe delete the rest. I have a ton of backup onsite and off.
I will have to schedule a chkdsk with the bosses. Thanks
