I've used among others - that blog. I just wondered how exisiting logins will work. By now they use basic auth for domain joined users. will this change using claims?

I've really done something stupid - which was to promise claims based auth for a sharepoint site. I'm working with exhcange, lync, adfs, office365 and read a blog - all good. But then it turns out sharepoint is in classic mode, so I need to upgrade to claims. Our sharepoint consultant is offline during the weekend, so now help for me. <br />
I've got the setup on how to convert<br />
I've done all claims preps on sharepoint and adfs<br />
I've snappshotted SP and SQL server<br />
<br />
But what I cannot find a straight answer to is this. The login to sharpoint now is used basic auth to webpage. If I upgrade to claims - will basic auth still work for domain users? or do I need to set up some claims auth for internal domain clients aswell ??
