I am in the process of deploying SCCM in an untrusted forest scenario. I have a primary site in one location and I am planning to deploy a management point and distribution point in an untrusted forest separated by a firewall. I need to give a list of ports to be opened on the firewalls and also the servers the remote MP and DP will interact with. I have a site server and SQL installed in separate mechines<br />

I think the MP and DP installed in the remote untrusted forest need to interact with Stie server, SQL server and AD. I will be using the remote tool to manage clients in the untrusted forests. appreciate if someone can provide me with the list of all ports that I need to open between the two networks

Systems Center Configuration Manager (SCCM, formerly known as Systems Management Server) is Microsoft’s system software for managing large groups of not only Microsoft computers, but those running other operating systems, such as Linux, OS-X, and various mobile technologies.

SCCM

A server is a computer program or a machine that waits for requests from other machines or software (clients) and responds to them. This architecture is called the client–server model. The clients may run on the same computer or may connect to the server over a network. The purpose of a server is to share data or hardware and software resources among clients. Typical computing servers are database servers, file servers, mail servers, print servers, web servers, game servers, and application servers.

Servers are computing devices that are similar to desktop computers in that they have the same basic components, but are significantly different in size, configuration and purpose.
