If you had limited choices, would you have Anti-virus server separate from Fileserver/AD server?
hi guys,
At one of our remote sites, we have an AD server (windows 2012) which is also the file server. The content sits on different disks.
However, on this site I need to put a Sophos AV server. So it's either put it on a separate PC or put it onto this server? It will end up downloading updates and redistributing them to the PC's. My only thought was that perhaps the server would slow down files opening as it distributes the updates to other PC's?
Cheers

I'd love to get Kaspersky (previous company had them), but at my firm we've already got a contract with Sophos.
Fine, in that case it makes sense to merely pop it onto there as getting another system will cost us more.
Thanks for the advice guys
