Windows 10 and mobile

Hello

I'm a little confused about Windows 10 OS and Windows mobile phones. Do they run the same OS, or is Windows 10 for laptops different from Windows 10 for Mobile? Sometimes, I'm hearing that this is a "unified" OS, other times I'm hearing that some apps work on the laptop/desktop version but not the mobile.

One difference is that the normal Windows 10 runs on x86/x64 compatible CPU's, while many mobile devices use ARM processors. So the mobile version of Windows 10 must also support those different CPU's.

Another difference is that the normal Windows 10 version includes the normal Desktop view, while the mobile version only has the crapp or metro type view. It also only supports crapps while the normal Windows 10 supports real software along with the crapps.
@alexwhite19800 - The basic source for Windows 10 is the same and as I noted, it will be tailored during installation.

Microsoft had its fling with Windows 8 tablets that would not run standard Office or much of anything. That has been dropped and common applications will run on Windows 10 tablets and phones.
@alexwhite19800 - Thanks and good luck with Windows Phone / Mobile
