Encrypt files on Windows 7 Pro

Hello,

I have a laptop running Windows 7 Pro, and it does include Bit locker.  The free alternative that I am aware (Truecrypt ) is no longer support.

Could you please advise for any solution/ third party software ?

Thank you

VeraCrypt is a fork of TrueCrypt. - https://veracrypt.codeplex.com/

GNC Privacy Guard, which is a spin off of PGP - https://www.gnupg.org/

You have plain ole Bitlocker, which is built into windows.

Then you have 7zip, which has it built into its file archiver.

Most of the security vendors provide some type of endpoint product.

McAfee - http://www.mcafee.com/us/products/data-protection/index.aspx

Symantec - https://www.symantec.com/products/information-protection/encryption/endpoint-encryption

Checkpoint (Formerly Pointsec) - https://www.checkpoint.com/products/full-disk-encryption/

I'm sure there are tons more.. Just do some googling for "endpoint encryption" or "disk encryption"

Veracrypt or disk cryptor. Or upgrade to windows 10 for free. 10 pro provides you with bitlocker.

Veracrypt (VC) too as it is the closer match to Truecrypt as shared widely as Truecrypt (TC) replacement on top of the other forks of TC like CipherShed and TCnext. Note the need to still export from the TC volume and into the VC is still required. There is no transparent migration of data from existing TC volume to VC or any others lest the forks I mentioned.
