What happens if client can't communicate DHCP server when IP lease expired in T2 period ?
Microsoft webstie it says "If no DHCP server is available by the time the lease expires, the client immediately unbinds itself from the existing lease and starts the process to obtain a new lease, beginning with a DHCPDiscover message."
Does it mean the client would lose IP and stop networking ?

If a client gets to the point of lease expiation either they are already disconnected, actually could be many reasons or the DHCP is down and in the later you will have a many disconnects. DHCP renewal I believe begins at 50% of lease time. So yes, the client will lose all connectivity.
