Difference between % Processor Time and % Processor Utility Performance Counters

In Windows 2012 R2, there seems to be a new performance counter in perfmon called "% Processor Utility" (and this seems to be what Task Manager now uses in its graph).

I'm struggling to find details on the performance counters in Windows 2012 R2 and I'm wondering what this new counter is and the difference between it and % Processor Time - does anyone have any information on this and can point me in the right direction to learn more about the two?

Thanks for finding that.  Its a good start, though not sure if I understand the difference (or how Processor Utility can exceed 100%)?

Thanks for the info - looks like we'll keep monitoring % Processor Time for now.
