Deleted a Hyper V Test Faioover VM - now a checkpoint shows - how to delete it

Folowed steps in to test a Hyper V replica failover which was successful. Form the Technet bulletin it says---

After you have concluded your testing, discard the test virtual machine by choosing Stop Test Failover under the Replication option or simply delete the test virtual machine directly.

However deleting the VM results in a checkpoint under the Actual replica VM . How do I get rid of it so I can resume replication.?

I appreciate the alternative method of testing, but that unfortunately didn't answer my question. I ended up removing all replication, replica VMs and VHDs and started over.

Which sounds just like the instructions in the TN article?

Not really. I only wanted to delete the failover test created VM, but the checkpoint was on the actual replica VM.  They only way I could remove that checkpoint was to delete the replica VM (not the test-replica) and its associated  vhds.
