How to set, send notification from a app to gmail.

I am using a third party backup to backup my virtual servers.

There is a option of sending User generated imagenotifications.

I'm sending it to a gmail account but it fails.

SMTP server: SMTP.gmail.com
SMTP server port: 465
username: email address
Tried with SSL Encryption and without same with authentication.

Allow less secure app is already enabled.

Please advice

Here's Google's overview of your options:

It looks like you are doing it correctly -- have you logged into GMail via the web with that account yet?  If not you need to do so.

Also, for testing, try it as unsecured on port 25.  It's possible that something is blocking port 465.
