External USB 3 HD not appearing in My Computer after restart
I have a strange issue on a HP ML10v2.
I am attaching a 3 Tb External HD (USB 3.0) to the rear slot for USB 3.0 and utilizing for backups.
The first time it was attached, the server recognized the device properly.
However, when opening "My Computer" after start from shutdown or restart, the external drive does not appear.
I need to go into Computer Management>Storage>Disk Management, and it shows up there.
I then go back to "My Computer" and it appears as well.
If I do not do this above step, the external HD is not "visible".
Just another annoying thing to remember?
Any suggestions?
Thanks, DR

Isn't it possible in Server 2012 R2 to set this permanently?
Thanx, DR
