Citrix printing issues

Hello,

I am currently experiencing issues with printing from Citrix. I'm not an expert, so any assistance would be more welcome. All servers appear to be at the same service pack level in terms of Microsoft and Citrix Hotfixes. I’ve completed a Citrix Print driver stress test on all the drivers currently on the server. All the print drivers passed with errors.

On one of the servers, users are regularly experiencing issues with the Print Spooler crashing. I’ve completed a Citrix Print driver stress test on all the drivers currently on the server. All the print drivers passed without errors. I’ve also applied a group policy to put the drivers in Isolation mode, so that the print spoolers operate in its own memory space.

While the Print Spooler is running effectively, for each printer we are receiving outputs from the stress test such as the following: AddPrinter Ver 2.01 (c) Citrix 2006-2007 (pid: 9588)
WARNING: thread id 0x2738 may be stuck on AddPrinter for printer (name) Time elapsed: 22 seconds. Done with 0 errors.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Many thanks.

Are all of the drivers up-to-date? Most of the Spooler crashing issues I've seen on Citrix could be tracked down to outdated drivers.

ASKER

Thank you for that suggestion, I will be checking shortly.

What else could it be if not for the drivers?

Many thanks.

All the print drivers passed with errors.
All the print drivers passed without errors.

It passed with or without errors?

How are the users connecting via Citrix? (XenApp server with several users, XenDesktop standalone or pooled images, etc.)
