WSUS Event 364 and 10032
Windows 2008 R2
WSUS 3.1
I had an issue a few weeks back when I tried to run the cleanup wizard.
I got that working after I shrunk the WSUS SQL database files.
Now all of a sudden I get Event 10032 every so often and event 364 when I do a sync
See attached file for the errors
I tried running a wsusutil reset yesterday but the errors continue
the BITS service is running
Any thoughts
Thanks
Tom

Looks as though the cert that is attached to that file is bad, this looks to be MS problem on the surface (no pun intended)

WSUS downloads other updates no problem looks like issue with windows 10 updates?

So Vince
MS is working on fixing this error?
If I uncheck windows 10 from the WSUS configuration then it will not try to download any windows 10 fixes
That's not very good
What would you suggest?

I would first follow the WSUS team blog to get all the latest news and updates.
KB3148812 is the culprit and MS has asked those that haven't installed it yet to wait to install it.
if its already installed then you can attempt an uninstall of KB3148812 and then don't install it until the fix comes out .
Or if you can wait until the fix comes out.

I do not have that update KB3148812 installed
My server is Windows 2008 R2 WSUS 3.1
The article points to Windows 2012 Servers
Any other ideas?

There are many versions of WSUS, 3.x is for server 2008, 6.x for server 2012, the common factor is they all need to down load the same updates for Win 10 clients. In this case there is a problem with one or more of the updates for win 10 that are causing the downloads to fail on cert verification. (someone in Germany went playing around with the location of the certs and got it to work but i definitely would not recommend that).
If you have other downloads that are working then there is not much you can do, if none of the downloads are working then that a different issue.
From your test file...
<Data>The server is failing to download some updates.</Data>

I turned off the windows 10 from wsus but it is still trying to download windows 10 update the same one that is failing everyday
After turning off win10 in WSUS did you restart the service?
The download that fails, does that prevent WSUS from functioning normally?

Restarted the service still getting the same errors
As I said in my original post all other updates are working.
Just added SQL 2014 updates and they down loaded today no problem
I found this one

Put for Windows 2012 again
But in there they talk about some sql queries to run
Do you think they will apply

Is there any way to find this kb3154879 in the database?
What SQL query can I run to find this?
Maybe it needs to be deleted from the sql wsus db

Thanks for all the help
Today after applying a few updates from windows updates on the Windows 2008 Server which runs WSUS and then I restarted the server.
Now getting Event Id 10000 WSUS IS Working correctly
I added back the Windows 10 in the products
All Working Fine
Now just looking for a SQL Query that I can run against the WSUS Database to show the KB fix if it exists
Thanks
