Flash Converter

I am looking for a recommendation for converting Flash (.swf) file to a video that can be played on YouTube (like mp4?).

I downloaded something called VMeisoft. It does nothing, I open a swf file, it just runs endlessly & does nothing. I let it run for over an hour.

Can someone recommend something else?

Use VLC. Besides just being the best media player there is, it can also convert the media to many formats:

I had it all wrong, what I need to convert is an FLV file, not SWF.

Now having the same problem with those that purport to do that; NONE OF THEM WORK. They don;t do ANYTHING. I'v tried 3 r 4.

can you recommend one that actually works?

I've just converted a flv file to mp4 using the VLC player and it just worked without any problems.

I just tried it again. It does nothing.

See attached. vlc_1.jpg shows the way I had it set up. Note the input & output files. Then I clicked Start. It shows vlc2.jpg. Just stays like that, no indication of anything happening. Just stays like that endlessly.

So what am I doing wrong?

That's exactly what I did, sorry I forgot the pics. There is no LAN.

I found another solution called free flv to mp4 convertor; worked great.

I'm awarding points on this based on effort, no solution
