How to resolve PCL XL Error Insufficient Memory printing out with an HP 401n printer?

Using Windows 10 64bit computers, and only for a particular legal sized scanned document, when printing to an HP 401n printer over the network, the resulting print out, comes out on a letter size, which says:
PCL XL Error
          Error:              Insufficient Memory

How can we resolve this?
The firmware has also been updated, however this still happens.
Thanks for your assistance.

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. When this happens to me, I change the printer drivers. There are usually always 3 available. PCL5, PCL6 and PS (the drive will tell you clearly). You can even have the same printer installed twice, both with different drivers (no more downtime if this happens again).
So, if you are now on PCL6, change to PS or PCL5. Changing the drivers, usually has no impact on how your printed document will look at all (other than solving the PCL memory error for that particular or similar print job).

You could also try printing using a lower resolution.

I agree with the previous comments. However, if you want to try to resolve the issue instead of changing other things, I have some questions.

Is there anything special about this particular document? Lots of graphics, high-res scans perhaps?

If you print the document from another PC, do you get the same error?
