how can I highlight and copy blocks of text within a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro?

Hello and Good Evening Everyone,

I am wondering if there is a way I can highlight blocks of text within a PDF file within Adobe Acrobat XI Pro, copy it, and paste it into MS Word 2013. When I open up a PDF file and go to File, then, Save As and select Word Document (*.docx), I am able to open it for editing within MS Word 2013. Unfortunately, some of the original content gets changed around and needs correction. I wonder if it would have made much of a difference to have selected Word 97-2003 document (*.doc).

Any suggestions regarding any work around solutions to this concern will be deeply appreciated.

Thank you very much for your attention and detail given to my question. While I have not checked out all of the links yet, I certainly plan on doing so and reporting back with any concerns, questions and shared thoughts.
Within a previously closed post which reflected my interest in aligning skewed or crooked lines of text within a PDF file using Adobe Acrobat Professional XI, this question was also answered within your excellent, self-created video.
