I will need to monitor Windows Server 2012 VM instant on Microsoft Hyper-V. Since I don't have the control of the hypervisor, looking at a procedure to generate a alert once the server goes off line.<br />

What is the process or the service that I need to monitor for this specific purpose.<br />

What are the windows kernel related processes or services ?

Hyper-V is a native hypervisor; it can create virtual machines on x86-64 systems and supersedes Windows Virtual PC as the hardware virtualization component of the client editions of Windows NT.
