WIFI Implementation

Hi: I have a small company and want to implement robust WIFI in our organization so that any laptop user can easily connect and speed should be excellent. Please advise me How to implement? Management people can connect from cabin or anywhere on the floor.

Area of the floor is:- 5000 sq ft.

I would use a couple Netgear ProSafe WAC access points through out the area.  They have good range and penetrate walls nicely.
Using wifi, you are opening your companies network to possible compromise.
To make is secured, you would need to use enterprise wpa2 with double auth/possibly with certificate, user auth.
Arnold:

That is most likely out of most SMBs budget. You're talking thousands in equipment plus install costs.
Linux/freeradius depending on the line of business this may shed light that wifi sounds, but has other implications.
They have to use user auth method to have control over access since issuing seats/passphrase to connect can spread leak, or a former employee, compromised computer, membership in the new share wifi with contacts........ Etc.
Buy a wireless-N router and access points/repeaters for each floor.  Plug in your router and use a network cable to connect your new wifi router to your ISP's modem. Read the sticker label on the side or bottom your wireless router to find it's default SSID and administrator password. Login to router through your web browser and configure your wireless router to require SSID and network key as credentials to join the wireless network. Change your default gateway from the current device to the new wireless router. Login to router through your web browser and add each repeater in your configuration to the wireless network so they will repeat the signal to broadcast the SSID throughout each floor. Provide the SSID and network key as login credentials to the users you want on your wifi network, keep the wifi secure by having it password protected for admins, and require an SSID and network key for users to connect to the wifi. If you complete each of these step your  wifi network should be implemented. Hope this helps

Thanks one and all! I have installed D-Link Dir-803 in our organization. My boss with MacPro laptop and trying to connect to WiFi and it shows connected but Internet was not working and after sometimes it disconnected same happened with Lan, it connected but after sometimes it got disconnected. I am very in tense and what should I do what is the problem why both is not working at same times. I feel very ashamed and in pain. Now I am thinking what should be best option, how do I do implementation so that going forward, i should not face this type of situation. Please guid me.

Regards
Sanjeev Jha.
You've included little detail, one  thing you have to make sure that the IPs dir-803 uses for its LaN are different than its wan side.

You could disable the DHCP server on the dlink fir-893 and plug the Wired LAN into a LAN port on the dlink effectively converting its functionality to an access point if direct configuration to access point versus router operating mode is not available.

depending in how many devices are involved the DHCP lease time if set for a day, week may lead to a circumstance that there are no available IPS .......
Thanks for you support! Which company WiFi Product is best for implementation in our organization. We have 3 floor and wanted to implement wifi in all 3 floors and strength should be very good  there should no difference using WiFi services than directly connected to Lan port of the Laptop. I would appreciate if you can also focussed on How it should be connected and implemented and share any link for this.

Sanjeev
There is no way to achieve the identical performance between wireless and wifi. Depending on the systems you have, wired connection are not adversely impacted by transmissions since they have a dedicated path to the switch while wireless devices share the wireless media, Air. The wired is either 100MB or 1GB.

wireless depending on your 802.11ac  802.11n 802.11g 802.11b 802.11a will have different ranges of performance from 12MB for a,b to 54MB for G in optimal conditions signal streangth and without the need to re-transmit packets......
Providing suggestion requires that you provide info.

You have to look at the space and then maximize coverage while minimize the needed devices.
note that overlaps may mean that the laptops may enter a renegotiation loop when trying to figure out which access point/router they are connected to/

your scenario might be more complex than it sounds.

How many devices on each floor? What existing resources switches/routers do you already have in place?
Do you need to separate some people from others within the same floor?

transitioning to wifi is the first step, how to separate/manage to avoid having 20 active users trying to talk to the same wifi point without any performance impact ....

what do your users do? i.e. how intense is their network utilization, if they merely typing up documents that then need to be sent in. that is one thing, but if the application they use require fast access to the network and thus the servers serving those requests. that is a different matter.

In your case, Imperical/quantitative may be more persuasive. Buy a single device place it in an area where you have several cubicles, etc. and have those users transition from the wired connection to the wireless. and see whether the number of users connecting through this device is smooth as warm knife through butter, or ....
using this you can then scale up.
Thank you very much for you continuous support! Our offices are on 1st and 2nd floor, with sitting capacity of 50 peoples and some cabin.

In our organization there is no any server, router and manageable switches. we have only sonicwall firewall and unmanageable switches.

Concerns are:

1: How both floors can be connected and access WiFi.

2: My boss came to office and he only prefer to connect his Mac laptop through WiFi.

3:- This time his laptop was not get connected with WiFi so I want to setup in such a way that very easily connected.

4: How we can setup so that his laptop connected automatically without asking password.
means for time being I want to remove authentication, simply his laptop search and once click, connected automatically. because he comes for very short day and short time. i don't want any type of mess for his laptop.

5: how I can do setup and which devoce should  I buy and configure.

Thanks a lot.
Unsecured wifi is ...
You would need to look at the devices, and add their wifi MAC addresses as the only ones allowed to connect to the wifi.
Hi: I did not get you properly. What you mean exactly?

Regards
Sanjeev
Your last request essentially is for an open wifi where the only way to secure it the only way possible is to use the MAC Address of the wifi from devices you want to authorize to use your open wifi setup, using MAC address restriction allow only the following within the wifi security configuration.
Thank you very much!

1:- I have a wifi dsl router with Internet.

2:- i have 16 ports switches.

Now I want all computer on network and also Internet should be sharing all computers.

I would appreciate if you can help me out.
