Configuring receive connectors for internal and external relay.

Hi
We are running Microsoft Exchange servers 2010. A DAG is setup between mailbox servers in the head office and we have a CAS array with 2 members that act as CAS and HUB servers.
We have multiple send connectors setup including a default connector, a client connector and a separate one for relaying email. Currently, it is setup to receive mail from multiple internal IP addresses.
Under authentication tab it has 'Transport Layer Security (TLS)', 'Basic Authentication' and 'Exchange Server authentication' selected.
Under Permission Groups tab, it only has 'Anonymous users' selected.
With this setup it allows sending emails from and to any internal and external email address. (e.g. joke@whatever.com can send email internally and externally to any address)
We have a requirement to relay emails internally for scan to email, and for emails from some application servers. Also we want to be able to allow relaying to a limited number of external systems.
What’s the best way to do this? Can we use the same receive connector to achieve both requirements of should this be done on separate receive connectors and with what settings?
Many thanks
