We are a retail organisation and looking at having tablets in our stores to users to sign up for offers. Basically, we want:<br />

i . Tablet will have a custom developed browser only <br />
ii. All other settings should be inaccessible from the user<br />
iii. We want to control the the OS version of the tablet<br />
iv. Ideally we want to be able to set when the tablet updates (like windows)<br />
v. Tablet will be on the public Wifi<br />
<br />
It's (iii) and (iv) we're having challenges with. Our Mobile Device Management software is currently Airwatch, does anyone know how we can manage the OS updates?<br />

I think for the others we have the option of iOS Kiosk mode correct? Not sure if Samsung has a similar feature.

iOS is a mobile operating system developed by Apple; it is a derivative of the Mac OS X desktop operating system, with which it shares many (but not all) common frameworks and other components. Tablets

Android is a mobile operating system developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. Android's user interface is based on direct manipulation, using touch gestures that loosely correspond to real-world actions, such as swiping, tapping and pinching, to manipulate on-screen objects, along with a virtual keyboard for text input. In addition to touchscreen devices, variants of Android are also used on notebooks, game consoles, digital cameras, televisions, automobiles and other electronics. Applications are usually developed in Java programming language using the Android software development kit (SDK), but other development environments are also available, including Delphi, Ruby and Visual Studio (using C++).
