Wii U LAN adapter and Cisco 1841
I am having difficulty getting my Nintendo Wii U to connect to my Cisco 1841 router using the USB LAN adapter. I have tried two different adapters and two different cables and both cables have full continuity. With both adapters it indicates that the connection failed.
Error message states: Unable to connect to a network device, such as a router or mode.
Error Code: 103-1407
Support Information
1) 5.5.1 U
2) WUP-101(02)
3) FW425675944
4) HATC-0210-2775
Some background information on the router, I have a Cisco 1841 router with two modules installed:
MODULE 1: HWIC-AP-AG-A (802.11 a/b/g)
MODULE 2: HWIC-4ESW (4-port switch)
Originally, I had the Wii U connected to the WIFI provided by Module 1 and it can connect to the Internet just fine. However, if I connect it to Module 2 (switch) with the USB LAN adapter, it is unable to connect.
The WIFI from Module 1 has a DHCP pool of 10.0.1.0/28
The Switch from Module 1 has a DHCP pool of 10.0.2.0/29
Neither of the pools above are full. I have an Xbox One connected to Module 2 (switch) and it is able to get an IP address and connect just fine. I have also connected a laptop to the module 2 switch and it too connects just fine. However, the Wii U is unable to get an IP and connect when connected to the Module 2 switch. I have tried configuring a static IP and using a different port on the switch and that did not work either. While the LAN adapter is connected, the switch does have a green light active on it.
My Internet is provided by our complex so I have an Ethernet jack to plug the Cisco router into. I plugged the Wii U LAN adapter directly into the ISP Ethernet jack (bypassing the Cisco router) and it connected just fine so I know the adapter and cable work. So I need assistance with getting the Wii U LAN adapter to work with my router.
Attached is my running config file.
