Printer inf file

Have a Lenovo ThinkCenter M73, 10AX. Have downloaded the LAN Driver, an Intel I217-V for Windows 7 32Bit. The download is an executable which I have extracted, but there is no .inf file showing after the file is extracted. There is a load of other files but not a .inf file. I need the .inf file to incorporate the network card driver into WDS.

I contacted Lenovo support and they were hopeless. They always are. The first guy cut me off and the second guy said it was to do with issues with WDS, Never had this issue with WDS before !!!

All I need is the .inf file for that card.

Any help much appreciated.

1. LAN drivers are normally installed by Windows (including Lenovo).
2. I have a Lenovo M73 here in my home office. The LAN driver is 10.1.505.
3. Where did you get the driver? As noted, Windows does this.
4. WDS works fine on my Lenovo M73 and on my ThinkPad X230.

Either Update or Uninstall the driver via Device Manager, If you uninstall, restart and let Windows install the driver.

ASKER

I have downloaded the driver directly from Lenovo

Driver Download

The M73 comes with Windows 10 64Bit installed, we are going to be using Windows 7 32Bit. However, we have an existing image built for other manufacturers which we will WDS to the Lenovo's but cannot install the image to these until the network driver for Lenovo Win 7 is added to WDS.
Make sure you have the correct driver. My M73 has a Realtek card but there is apparently an Intel card. So make sure of this.

I also just use the Windows LAN driver as it works just a well.
Yes I did wonder. I downloaded the Realtek driver also and same issue. However, the pre-built Windows 10 shows the Intel I217-V driver.
My M73 came with Windows 10 64-bit and Realtek. There are different models so yours could be different.

Look in Device Manager under Network and it will tell you which one it is.
