Digital camera no longer records sound- Part 2

Hi- Please see here: https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/28944484/Digital-camera-no-longer-records-sound.html

I have a Fuji Finepix 850EXR. Lately I can't use movie mode, because it no longer records sound.

I've checked, it isn't in silent mode. I left the battery out for 24 hours, no change.

Part two is this: I notice that when I record a video, playback is slow. I thought maybe there is a slow motion mode that I'm unaware of. If it was in slow motion mode, it would make sense that the sound doesn't record, right?

Here are the settings I can see:
Movie Set-up: Movie mode H5 640x480, 80 fps. Movie AF mode: Continuous. Still shooting in movie: Movie priority.

Thanks.

Did you replace the SD card?
Have a tech look at it, as much as we would love to help you our suggestions can only go so far without examining the camera
I've looked through your manual http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/f/finepix_f850exr_manual_01.pdf
and there is quite a few different settings, I'd reset the camera to factory defaults and replace the SD card.

Right, thanks ! Additionally, I was asking if there was a slow motion setting I had missed. This review says that there is. http://www.chuckhawks.com/fuji_finepix_f850exr.htm

I'll try another SD card, thanks for the advice! I'll leave this open in case anyone else knows about the slow-mo and if there's such an option.

I think you may have it there - let me test. Thanks!!
That was it, thanks!
Too easy :)  that's great it's solved glad it helped,
You have the manual for this camera now that can be downloaded and referred to.
I find them much easier to read than the book.
If your playback is now normal you may not need to replace the SD card do that only if the card is a few years old, they do wear out.
cheers
