HI vmware and Citrix experts <br />
<br />
we have two virtual provisioning servers &nbsp;version 7.1 <br />
<br />
we save our Vdisk &nbsp;on a cluster file system called Melio . so the cluster file system use raw device from vmware perspective (( please check the attached file )) <br />
<br />
these two virtual provisioning servers located in hosts using fiber storage data stores <br />
<br />
now i want to migrate these provisioning servers to VSAN cluster but i am not sure if this will work well , because this raw device shared between these two VMS <br />
<br />
so after shutdown then both and start full vmotion for both of them . should move one by one <br />
<br />
and after both fully vmotioned &nbsp;i can start them ? <br />
<br />
i m afraid for any risk to hurt our provisioning servers <br />
<br />
<br />

vmotion VMs with melio fs

VMware, a software company founded in 1998,  was one of the first commercially successful companies to offer x86 virtualization. The storage company EMC purchased VMware in 1994. Dell Technologies acquired EMC in 2016. VMware’s parent company is now Dell Technologies.

Citrix is the synonym for the virtualization and application infrastructure systems developed by the company of the same name. Main areas are application virtualization, Software-As-A-Service (SaaS), cloud-computing and networking. The two most well-known are Citrix XenApp or Citrix CloudPlatform.
