Galaxy S6 Data Recovery

Hello,

I have my friends Galaxy S6 mobile phone version 6.0.1.  I have done many data recovery on hard drives, RAID, Mac.  But I am having very difficult time to recover his pictures which has been deleted many weeks ago.

I have tried many freeware and paid version of Android Data Recovery softwares, and I seem to run into ONE major hurdle.  The phone needs to rooted.  I am quite not ready to root the device and I know he will not want that either.

What are some of my real solution to recover data without rooting?  I install WebDAV on the phone and I was able to mount the device as a drive letter and use one of my data recovery software to deep scan.  Apparently, mounted device was ignored by most data recovery software including Android Data Recovery Software.

I am really stumped.  Any solutions?

Try this...

Go to Settings > About Phone > Tap Build number seven times on the bottom. Then go back to access the Developer options menu, check “USB debugging” and hit “OK” on the prompt. Step 4. Connect Samsung Galaxy S6 to computer and run Jihosoft Android Data Recovery.

I had forgotten to mention before that Developer option and USB debugging was already enabled.

Does Jihosoft app require root permission?

If I connect the phone via USB to my computer, will it load as a mapped drive, or do I need to do anything else?
Check the link it has full instructions on what to do.

OK.  I was able to apply your suggestions successfully.  However, it reports no images to preview or recover.  ZERO.

That would be unusual for it to not report any images to recover.  The phone has close 1300 good images, so I am really puzzled now.
According to the site you should shut the phone off as soon as you lose the data if you don't new updates could overwrite deleted data.

Hmmmmm.  Is there a way to access RAW data on this Android Phone?
Not sure... I did find one more app for you to try. It's called Coolmuster.
Here is the link...

Coolmuster is Android management software like iTunes is to iPhones.  I am looking for RAW data recovery.  A bit-by-bit scanning of the storage media to recover all possible data
I don't see one out there.... maybe someone else will chime in here but while we are waiting check this link out.
