Tracing a DNS query to a website
Hello all,
I am trying to trace a DNS query to a website done using my internet browser. I am trying to see the traffic using Wireshark, but cannot find any packets that has the query to my dns for that particular website (A record).
Can someone provide a Wireshark filter that will display this packet?
Thanks!

Windows machines cache DNS queries. (as do most other OSs) Thus, if you have just been to the website, no DNS lookup will be required.
To clear the DNS cache under Windows, type "Ipconfig /flushdns" at an elevated command prompt.

The quickest way to do it is by typing dns in the filter box after you stopped the capture.
