Auditing Office 365 forwarding rules / mailbox rules

We need to do an audit on a large number of mailboxes to find out what rules are in place - specifically forwarding rules.

Is there a way to run powershell within O365?  Or is there a way in the portal to export this information so we can parse through it?  Doing this as manual checks is not a feasible option.

Thank you for your help

Use PowerShell: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj984289(v=exchg.160).aspx

All the cmdlets you need for this are the same as on-prem.

How do I do this without an Exchange server on prem?  This is cloud only.
None of the methods above have anything to do with Exchange server on-prem. Both are for Exchange Online/Office 365.
We VPN connected our Exchange server to run the commands as we could not find a way to run them remotely.  We got the job done thanks for your help.
