CRM 2011 Error Connecting to Report Datasource

Hi

I am modifying some old SSRS reports and I am having a problem connecting to datasource (named CRM).  When I run Test Connection, I receive the attached error message.

I need to eliminate this error to make progress on updating the reports.

Thanks

Still having trouble I see.  Try changing localhost to the actual name of the SQL Server, also if you are using a non-default instance you need to specify that too, like this,  SERVERNAME\INSTANCENAME

Tried reworking the CRM datasource and seem to making progress.

Also I attached an image of the revised, shared dataset CRM (it is using OLE DB and it shared not embedded)

I am spinning my wheels, however, trying different combinations of the shared datasource, I have attached one.

I am assuming my datasource should point at the related SQL server

Thanks

Thanks

1) Don't use a shared data source, I don't think that works with CRM
2) You should select just SQL Server, don't go with OLE DB

Here is the setup I have now for adding new fields to this report:

This is the CRM DataSource, (not shared)

This is DataSet1, based on the CRM DataSource

As you can see, there is some involved SQL that currently works with the report fields as originally added

When I try to use Query Designer, I get the following error which seems to indicate a problem with authentication:
