Mac's unable to connect to the network

All, I was tasked to check out a customers issue connecting to the network with there MAC's. I am just looking for some ideas, troubleshooting steps so I can be prepared before I go.  Any help would be appreciated. As far as I know they are all hard wired.

Thanks in advance!

If they are trying to connect wirelessly, I have had issues with the Broadcom chips in the Mac and the Trendnet and DLink routers.  Take a USB wireless adapter to test.

As I stated before I am not aware of all the issues, I just wanted some general suggestions for network connectivity issues with MACs and how to troubleshoot them.

Thanks all!
So what turned out to be the problem?
I cannot actually say, but I had the server team on the line and when they logged on to the server, I had a VNC session going on the server as well, I saw a bunch of image files, next to me I had a MACBook Pro and I brought up the boot options by pressing the Option Key and ~, and in the list of options were a bunch of globes with numbers, the same number as on the image files on the server. I just selected one of those and it brought up the Deploy Studio, we selected the build from the list and it started building.
