Intermittent Terminal Server Login Issues
Hello Folks,
I am currently supporting a 2008 R2 terminal server and intermittently, users cannot log in. This typically occurs after a reboot after an automated patching session or a reboot by our RMM software (LabTech). I have tried restarting all the remote desktop services when this happens but the only fix seems to be rebooting the machine again.
The events I am seeing in the event log are as follows:
I will be following up on this as well...but just wanted to see if anyone has experienced this before.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your post. I feel privileged to have your help as I know you have been a member of this community a long time and have helped a lot of people.
I realize that SBS was not the right category but I did not see any category for Terminal Server so thought SBS folks might be able to help with this...perhaps that was not good etiquette on my part.
I had not followed that article but did just now and everything checks out fine. The kicker here is that this only happens after a reboot. One thing unique about this network is that we have two OpenDNS umbrella appliances running and NS1/NS2 are pointed to these appliances. Not sure if you might be aware of any issues there.
Thanks for your help,
John

Hi Jeff,
I made the change and the problem stopped so looks like this was it.
Thanks!

Secondly, have you followed the prescribed troubleshooting for Event ID 1280?
