Synology secure backups to USB drive
Hi
My client would like to backup his NAS data to external USB pocket drives
He would also like to encrypt the saved backups
I haven't found anything that allows this
I guess I could format the drives with ext3/4 filesystem to limit access to its contents
Or I could use Cobian with a PC that is on the network to encrypt the backup data
Any other ideas ?
thanks

you can buy thumb drives that have built-in encryption. They tend to be expensive but probably the only choice if you want to have secure data on a thumb drive.
