Filtering a Look-Up Column on a custom form in a SharePoint List Application
SharePoint 2010, SharePoint Designer 2010
I have a custom list form with several input fields one of which is a lookup to another table. The field is called session, in that lookup field there is also a field called status. I only want the sessions where the status = available to show in the dropdown.
Thanks

list1 - Requests
session - lookup to list2
list2 - Sessions
session
status (either available or booked)
so on list one the dropdown should only show sessions from list2 where status = available

Not sure if this will work but what happens if the default view is filtered to show 'available' only?
If that does not work, then client side development (JSOM, Rest API, etc.) may be needed to do what you are asking. You can also try infoPath.
