SIOS for SQL environment

Hello,

We are rebuilding our SQL cluster currently with back end SAN for data.  Vendor says we need SIOS and I want to see if anyone else has looked at this and what your thoughts are pro/con?

SIOS Diskkeeper I'm trying to see if anyone has input and used it
I don't think any Expert here has used it otherwise there will comment on this.
SIOS disk keeper is a program that simulates shared storage in the cloud.  This allows you to do traditional SQL Failover Clustering on VM's in Azure.  This is only needed for SQL versions that do not let you do Availability Groups.  For instance the shop that I work in needed to setup a SQL Failover Cluster for SQL 2008 R2 across 2 Azure VM's and we used SIOS to implement this solution.

To answer your question there is no need for SIOS in a traditional SAN setup for SQL Failover Clustering.

Did you like SIOS?  You no longer use it so at what point did you gain the functionality in DR without SIOS?
