I think you would have to get the vpn to make your home network the default gateway... It is a bit different in every piece of software, but it should be in the manual somewhere... If you can't find it I might be able to google it for you...

I've installed SoftEther VPN Server on my home computer to be able to watch TV etc. when abroad (My TV provider uses some kind of GEO lock).<br />
