SBS 2011 and Windows 10 GPM

I have a client using Windows SBS 2011 Standard. We added the first Windows 10 PC to the domain. It came up ok and the server can see it but there are no redirected folders working. When I look at GPM I see no references to Windows 10.

What needs to be done to add Windows 10 to SBS 2011 Standard?

you need to install the windows 10 GPO templates
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48257

then configure the GPO's

1. Create a centrasl store https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3087759
2. Copy your sbs GPO's to the central store
3. install the GPO templates downloaded above and overwrite any duplicates
4. create your new GPO's for win 10 devices and link them.

Thank you.

I couple of questions. I located the SBS GPO's in the C:/windows/policydefinitions folder. The part I am struggling with is where to:
create a folder that is named PolicyDefinitions in the following location (for example) on the domain controller:
\\contoso.com\SYSVOL\contoso.com\policies

I have a folder called sysvol on the server but I get access denied when I try and open it even as an administrator. Where do I create this Central Store?

And do I run the Windows 10 Template installer into this new central store?

You don't need to do any of the above.  Please just follow the SBS Team's blog post on how to fix this problem by updating the WMI Filters:
https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/sbs/2016/01/22/wmi-group-policy-filter-issue-on-windows-10-breaks-folder-redirection-windows-server-2012-r2-essentials-windows-server-2012-essentials-and-windows-small-business-server-2011-essentials/

FYI, there are a few more issues you should be aware of when adding a Windows 10 machine to an SBS 2011 network:
http://www.thirdtier.net/2016/01/introducing-windows-10-into-your-sbs-2011-standard-network/
I modified the WMI filter as described and restarted the Windows 10 PC after performing a GPUpdate. The redirected folders still are not on the Windows 10 PC. Do I need to reboot the server?

I had already modified the SupportedOS xml file and RDP is also already working.

Using your suggestions I was able to surmise that the redirected folders required a change in Ownership to the client. Once I performed that everything worked!

Thank You both for your assistance!
If you had used the wizards to create the user account and also used the SBS Management Console to enable folder redirection it should have done everything properly in the first place without any need to change permissions.

Be sure that in the future you always use the wizards and manage things from the console whenever possible.

This account originated in SBS 2003 prior to their migration to SBS 2011 some years ago. The 2011 console wizard was used on all post migration accounts. The conversion process and its associated wizards were used during the migration from 2003 to 2011.
