Best Free/open source Windows mail server

Hi All,

Can anyone recommend the best free/open souce mail server for the Windows platform. I only intend to have 10-20 mailboxes.
I intend to connect via webmail and Outlook (pop3 and/or IMAP is ok)

Thunderbird is just a client right?
yes, the only one i thought that looked decent was Hmail, any other suggestions?

Have you looked at Zimbra.  There is a paid version as well as an open source version.  Due to costs our we have it set up for our mail server over Exchange and it serves the same purpose.  Here is the link to the Open Source version.  https://www.zimbra.com/open-source-email-overview/

It has Messaging, Collaboratio, IMAP/POP, CalDAV, CarDAV and client software to run on your tablet or phones.

Check it out.  BTW, some large scale ISP's run it as well.
