iCloud Not Installing/Updating on Windows 7 64-Bit

I am working on a Lenovo ThinkPad W530 running Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-Bit for a client. He was having various problems with it and asked me to restore it to a full system backup that he had made to an external drive about a year ago.

Everything is working OK except for iCloud for Windows, which opens just fine, but then crashes seconds after I log into the user's iCloud account.

When I download and attempt to install the latest version of iCloud, I get an error message, "There is a problem with the Windows Installer package..." (screenshot attached).

I can't seem to get around this problem. Would appreciate any suggestions.

Also you forgot to include the screenshots.
This is not clear that the problem arises from the auto-uninstall process during upgrade or the installation package is really faulty.

Looking into Application section of the "Event viewer" can also give us some clues about app crash or installation errors.

Thanks Guys. I was able to get this working thanks to your suggestions. Using the aggressive uninstall mode on Revo Uninstaller to wipe out all Apple-related software then allowed me to install iCloud successfully.

Thanks!!
