No internet via wifi, fine via ethernet from Windows 10 notebook
I have an ASUS RT-N660U router with firmware changed out to the latest DD-WRT. Was working fine, both Ethernet and wifi. Forgot my ID/PW so did a complete reset. Everything seems working fine, except for wifi from my Windows 10 notebook; I cannot connect to the internet via wifi. No problem with ethernet, only wifi. My phone (with Mobile Data disabled) connects to the router via wifi and to the internet. My notebook gets the same result using my cell phone hot spot: "No internet, secure."
2.4GHz and 5 GHz have different SSIDs, otherwise identical and same results.
Found a YouTube video suggesting to uninstall the wireless network adapter driver, then scanning for new hardware. Did that; seemed to work as suggested, but no change in outcome.
